Zuly Palomino Jimenez

Zuly Palomino Jimenez

Zuly Palomino Jimenez is the daughter of Ayacuchano Peruvian altarpiece masters and belongs to the fourth generation of her family that continues with the artisan tradition using potato dough and plaster for making beautiful sculptures.

She preserves the tradition of making retablos, frames, ornaments and paintings. Using traditional techniques passed on from generations with recycled items to decorate her works.

Zuly has spent a lot of time in Ayacucho, the traditional home of her parents, listening to Andean legends and stories from her grandparents, which profoundly shaped her vision of the world, creative inclinations, and her inspiration for nature, everyday life, the rural community of Peru.
