Steven Brunelli

Painter

Stephen Brunelli is an artist based out of Providence, Rhode Island. With a background in film, Stephen still uses film and video as a means of expression, but has primarily pursed a career as a painter.

Stephen has painted city murals, formed an art group with a refugee resettlement program in Rhode Island, and participated in many group and solo exhibitions in New York, Providence and Boston.

Stephen has had success traveling back and forth from NYC to Texas selling his work on the street. From Soho to Marfa, Texas, Stephen has gained a small following in the US and Europe, and currently has work in two galleries, The Hotpoint Emporium in Bristol, Rhode Island, and Esperanza Vintage and Art in Marfa, Texas.

Stephen’s work is very textured and colorful. He uses the canvas that he is working on as it’s own pallet, mixing colors at random. “Having no plan is how my work moves forward. The satisfaction of applying color is the means to completing my narrative work.”

Stephen has recently concluded a solo show at Gallerie le Domaine in Providence, RI.

39 State Street, Bristol, RI 02809
